Very Old Depiction of The Holy Trinity

Description of Illustration:  This is a very old motif for depicting The Holy Trinity and dates back to the age of illuminating manuscripts. God the Father is predominate; He holds the crucifix with God the Son paying the sin debt of the world. The Holy Spirit ,who is invisible, is sometimes depicted with a descending dove in these old motifs, but, He is not drawn here. However, is was assumed by those who illustrated The Holy Trinity that He is also a part of the depiction whether He is invisible or represented with a symbolic dove.

St. Aidan of Lindisfarene

Description of Illustration:  This illustrated stained glass window motif was designed to celebrate the life of St. Aidan, symbols of the Holy Trinity are at the top, an Irish Celtic Cross at the bottom, St. Aidan was an Irishman, Hand of The Father, Initials of The Son and Dove The Symbol of The Holy Ghost, multiple colors
Aidan of Lindisfarne (died 31 August 651) was an Irish monk and missionary credited with restoring Christianity to Northumbria. He founded a monastic cathedral on the island of Lindisfarne, served as its first bishop, and traveled ceaselessly throughout the countryside, spreading the gospel to both the Anglo-Saxon nobility and to the socially disenfranchised (including children and slaves).
He is known as the Apostle of Northumbria and is recognized as a saint by the Orthodox Church, the Roman Catholic Church, the Anglican Communion and others.
Bede's meticulous and detailed account of Aidan's life provides the basis for most biographical sketches (both classical and modern). One notable lacuna, which (somewhat paradoxically) reinforces the notion of Bede's reliability, is that virtually nothing is known of the monk's early life, save that he was a monk at the ancient monastery on the island of Iona from a relatively young age and that he was of Irish descent. Aidan was known for his strict asceticism.
